Hi! I’m Dana Pickens, wife, mom and Jesus follower for life. I have a big vision to carry out the great commission found in Mathew 28.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Establishing a retreat and educational center in the Pacific Northwest is a vision that has been in my heart for 20 years. Ever since I gave my life back to Jesus in 2005, I have desired to live my life for His Kingdom. As I began the work to establish Jesus’s truth and purify my life, the vision of the retreat center was deposited and I see it as a way to bring the great commission to life.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Growing up amongst the farmland in Skagit Valley, rooted deep in me is an affinity to cultivate the ground and explore. I have spent my adult life homeschooling, serving community, studying nature and taking adventures in this beautiful region of the United States.

My life lived serving Jesus has made my days fulfilled. In my life- raising a family, serving our community through homeschool cooperatives, youth leading and helping abroad in mission work, I have found that following Jesus and being a part of a Holy Spirit filled community is foundational. I also love experiencing enrichment through the arts and exploring the natural world with people. It is the people which have brought about a rich depth of love for our Lord and his creation.

My passion is to help people find their identity in Jesus. Through community I can help cultivate unique experiences that connect people to the heart of the father, explore creativity and be inspired by beauty around us and the practical benefits for our whole mind, body and spirit.

My goal is to create a retreat & education center that will be an established event space for use and working education center throughout the year. Consistently engaging the community, both locally and globally through our center, will bear great fruit for the kingdom of God.
